a ghost town of tooth ache inhabitated

21 Apr

a drill without a holster
waits with no temperature reading.
mechanical eyes stare down.
i want to be curious about
its honeycombs and cells of not enough roads,
but i carve socotra into fingernails instead
trusting impossible shapes are my gps
sending rivers a diverge into
10,000 park bench screams
mainlining  wave after wave of sub woofer church bell verse
slams into rock face
is the first fork stabbed into a cold hand,
awake beside driftwood,
a new day pilgrim,
shopping for sea salt,
relieved to discuss weather with strangers again.

I take it you heard how Cottonbombs took refuge from a coyote on a park bench?
