the slightest tick of compass magnet

16 Jun

it was a good day,
one foot in front of the other with
dreams slipping between wrought iron bars
into secret marination cemetery clouds.

the rain came as a dust bowl
reshuffling plots.
a spot opened up on the park bench
to swoop into.

*broken bats baseball on
the book ends of summer

Marination clouds in cemeteries is a bit disturbing – but I love the part about how the rain came in a dust bowl. That’s just a way cool image. I guess living so near dust storm territory gives me the edge on that one. Overall, I believe it was a good day just as you said – if only the cemetery weren’t marinating…. shiver…..

too many people messing with the too much topsoil turned dust spinning into a guthrie LP.
got me thinking about old way solutions-elder marination. i crawled into a cave and gave up on farming.

There’s a moment when rain comes, before it gets heavy, when it kicks up the dust rather than flattening it into mud. It’s like the opening salvo of a battle before dying is the major concern.
