black lab in harness

20 Jul

there’s probably something ironic about a seeing eye dog
strolling the avenue with ease
while drivers inside toasters on wheels
go bonkers,

but irony is stuffy classrooms and closed windows.

i prefer the boxer dog
sticking its head out a car window towards
that very seeing eye dog and imagining
its tongue lick pleased by what it sees.

*broken bats baseball
most hits; position by position

And then a donut shop appears in the middle of now here at 3 am. coffee, more conversation. blind people probably dream i think?
