it’s a good day to finish a movie

yesterday’s movie scene in my head is
more moon dagger reflections across water
and the camera i don’t have now rolls ashore into an abandoned beach house.
four humans emerge from a fire and walk up the hillside
is muddy.
there’s a lot of slipping but rising,
the four look down and the fire is a smoldering cherry
and so is the fear.
there are no more shadows,
just darkness and silence
filled up with shapes,
sounds they never knew to make before.
