a real cheese ball

13 Sep

the other`s snort laugh
the way other ties their shoes
my hammock book ends.

i watched garden state again
i must have overestimated the blues
and in fact i do like orange sherbert,
but wait an egocentric minute,
how do credits roll?
“any resemblance to your life
probably means it resembles someone else`s too.“

That last bit – any resemblance…. – I love that. I always wondered about that disclaimer in the credits. Of course if there is a resemblance in the movie to real life, then there’s a chance it’s a resemblance to MY life. And how do they know if I know those fictional characters or not. Poets are well acquainted and well known for their relationships with fictional characters. The nerve of some scaredy-cat movie credit editors… and all that BS…. yeah.

      You’re over-thinking this, Sis.

Kind of off topic or maybe not, but i saw that movie on Temple Grandin’s life so far. What an incredible human being. I think the “any resemblance” credit was absent.

I love it when someone the kids at school mock goes on to do something really great with his or her life. So much better than coming to school one day armed to the teeth.
