I am just getting my head round the concept of Black Choctaw. This is a good poem. I was reading someone else’s blog this morning, and the comment thread introduced the idea of re-naming Columbus Day as Native American Day, so everyone can celebrate NA culture(s). Maybe they would have to find a different day for Italian-Americans to celebrate. I vote for having Sacco and Vanzetti Day. I also vote for everyone on the North American continent reacquainting themselves with the story of how Stan Freberg came to write ‘Take and Indian to Lunch’ – it’s good for a giggle.
