roll in the hay and then roll some more

5 Apr

i had a fascist day dream slip.
there i was in full uniform;
torn jeans and wild hair,
pontificating from behind a podium with
thousands of hungry teenager tongues waiting for my worms.

“impose a vagabond lifestyle on yourself
and enjoy the tree rings in your mind,
ooooooga booooooga…all the way back.”

    Do you recall Robert Crumb’s “Ooga Booga”?

      I don’t know anything about Robert Crumb except that documentary about him, I liked that, especially seeing him in his family dynamic-those 3 brothers.

      But great gooogeleee mooogeleeee is in the Zappa tune “Nanook rubs it” and that always stuck with me.

        I think there was a reference to ‘Ooga Booga’ in the documentary. It’s impossible to find an example on Google Image, mainly because it is very offensive. Crumb was looking inside himself and trying to exorcise all the racism he could find, by making exaggerated drawings of African-Americans. Maybe. Difficult to say.

        Thanks for Frank at his most laid-back.

          I sort of remember now…the big lips and aunt jemima hips. Funny stuff.

          I hope Google isn’t hijacked by the over sensitive and politicaly correct thought police. Things get way too serious and boring.
