a brief history of trees

6 Apr

the way an evergreen just sits there and lets snow pile up around its limbs,
layer after layer,
stuck in a caste all winter
and when the ice age melts,
those branches swing and sway again
without saying a word or
maybe they do,
playing dream catcher with abandoned kites.

And so my life begins with Sammy Zarnocay Jr. Don’t know how long it’s gonna last, but pasting his name in you tube this early morning turned him into Sammy Kaye and hearing a few tunes I never heard before goes well with the coffee. I feel way less bitter than 15 minutes ago. Thank you bobbraxton for the reference.
