it never feels like a sunday drive

the tweet birds and their broken record sugar;
vital signs for the morning troupe;
perfect with the crow’s bellow and bass;
a kind of cacophony
and inside the bakery,
the fat rose cheeks and black leather swirl
in hula hoop dischord;
the jaded and innocent;
a prune danish.
