it’s great when a guy who writes serious poems about nature posts a used car advertisement from craigslist on his facebook page.
it was for a Lincoln Town Car and i don’t know shit about cars, but a lincoln reminds me of a canadian goose especially after lift-off because they’re both so big and heavy and come to think of it, how in the hell does a canadian goose fly anyway? oh, it doesn’t matter.
Dear canadian geese,
the wind you generate
could fuel our collective late night music habit.
the ad this guy posted was for a silver lincoln, from 1991 and there were 10 pictures and a bunch of words……words like new brakes and realigned gear shaft shaft valve and “busted speedometer-mileage can’t be verified” and i thought to myself, god that last part about the speedometer being busted was really honest and the car was only 1200 bucks, but i prefer to walk.
i must have spent thirty minutes in search of some hidden meaning buried within the car ad. don’t forget, the guy was a serious poet, but then i said screw it and just enjoyed the pictures.
Six out of the ten were of the car’s body and the pictures musta been taken in spring or summer because the trees in the background had a full set of green hair and it looked like they were jetting from the roof of the car.
it’s great when technology and nature get along like that.
